Code of Ethics
The purpose of this Code of Ethics and Practice is to establish and maintain standards of conduct for NLP powerthinking practitioners and Masters 
A practitioner and master shall follow rules l:
1. Respect the dignity and worth of every human individual, and their right to self determination.
2. Act with the law and not encourage, assist, or collude with others engaged in unlawful conduct.
3. The practitioner shall work with integrity, independence and impartiality, avoiding conflicts of interests and acting in congruently according to the standards of NLP and Powerthinking.
4. Practitioners and Masters should commit themselves to continuing professional development as trainers.
5. Represent themselves and their qualifications and experience honestly and also (to the best of their knowledge) the skills and experience of any third party to whom they refer any of their customers/clients.
6. The practitioner must understand that the information and learning material on NLP POWERTHINKING is available in the public domain in a variety of media and is subject to copyright and licensing rules. Much unpublished material which is the intellectual property of researchers, developers and trainers is made available to trainees participating in training courses. It is in everyone’s interests that the ownership of such intellectual property is acknowledged.
7. This Code of Ethics and practice applies equally when you apply NLP POWERTHINKING on others outside the training room
8. The practitioner shall only practice NLP/powerthinking within the limits of their competency and to their highest possible standards;
9. During the training, practitioners and members may find themselves in a vulnerable situation where painful and potentially difficult material may be revealed, which needs handling in a caring and sensitive manner. It must be made clear beforehand that the objective of the training course is learning and not ongoing personal therapy.
10. The practitioner shall update their skills and knowledge on a regular basis.
11. Represent NLP interventions as an option and at no time as a certain solution for any given problem.
12. Act as ambassadors for ANLP, to promote its purposes and activities to a wider audience; avoiding bringing ANLP into disrepute.
13. Respect legitimate needs and requirements for confidentiality.
14. Respect the variety of different styles of NLP POWERTHINKING and complementary professions.
15. Promote fellow Members interests and avoid soliciting other Members customers/clients away from them.
16. Ensure that clients / customers expectations and the basis on which they will be met, are understood by both parties and that contractual arrangements are not changed without appropriate discussion.
17. Act as ambassadors for NLP POWERTHINKING, so that it is presented in a professional manner that shows its effectiveness which can help people groups, companies and organizations
